When the production calls for mask, commedia dell'arte, circus, stage combat, or a heightened physical style, Commedia Zuppa act as guest directors or provide short- term coaching of skills or movement for a show.
We've created original mask and commedia shows with student and professional actors, directed new and classic scripts, and brought our intensely collaborative and highly physical approach to plays from Shakespeare to Beckett.
Our direction and coaching introduce students to
new techniques and ways of working as well as Expanding their physical and stylistic range.
When in residence, we can collaborate with
student and faculty designers, or create an
entire production concept.
